My mission in life, as a storyteller, is to H.E.A.L.
Help, Entertain, Actualize, and Love...
I have had a love for television since I was a child, its warm glow has constantly served as a beacon, beckoning me home, it’s where I’ve always belonged!
My journey started at the age of four, as a munchkin in The Wiz, and my fate as a storyteller was sealed, but my mission to use it as a vehicle to effect change in society would grow over the years. I studied at UC Santa Cruz (go Banana Slugs!) and became Artistic Director of Barnstorm Theatre Company, worked as Assistant Campaign Director for the DNC in Seattle in 2008, set sail as an Entertainer traveling the world for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, landed back home in the SF Bay Area where I would work as an actor (New Conservatory Theatre Center, African American Shakespeare Company, SF Sketch Fest, Club Oasis, Castro Theatre), dancer (choreographing for Drag Queens, local pop acts, Bay Area Flash Mob, and my own dance company Icon Dance Collective), and started a podcast still running with over 350 episodes on the Maximum Fun Network, Minority Korner where we take a look at the world through an intersectional lens.
My dreams led me to New York, where I landed commercials, billboards, and became a co-host/correspondent for Marvel.com's 'THWIP The Big Marvel Show', along with Marvel's Premiere Red Carpet Specials (Black Panther, Dr.Strange 2., Eternals, Wakanda Forever). I developed the knack for standup comedy performing at Caroline’s on Broadway, and the Broadway Comedy Club, as well as Yaaas Queer Comedy Fest. I’ve been on Paramount+ Tell Me A Story, and NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. I made my feature film debut in the cult hit Shit & Champagne (Amazon Prime/Hulu), and set to film the sequel Spring 2023.
As well as studying theatre at UC Santa Cuz, I’m a versatile, Meisner trained actor, having studied under Jim Jarrett, at the Meisner Technique Studio for two years in San Francisco, and have completed the improv training program at Upright Citizens Brigade.
I'm looking forward to experiencing where the yellow brick road of life leads me next, utilizing my passions, and talents of media, communication, dance, and storytelling to do as much good as I can, and make the biggest impact that I can: leaving this world better than I entered it, fighting for love and equality for all.
