My mission in life, as a storyteller, is to H.E.A.L.
Help, Entertain, Actualize, and Love...
I’m a versatile, Meisner trained actor, having studied under Jim Jarrett, at the Meisner Technique Studio for two years in San Francisco. My background in sketch comedy, improv, and experience with Shakespeare, allow me to commit to a wide variety of characters.
But it all began at the age of four, I was a munchkin; my brother was a flying monkey, and my mother… a witch! Thankfully not in real life, but in the local Solano Community College Theater Production of The Wiz, in Fairfield, California. It was then that my fate was sealed as my mission was clear: I was a storyteller.
I eased on down the road to UC Santa Cruz were I continued to hone my skills as an actor, and choreographer, performing in, and directing various productions through my undergraduate and graduate career, becoming Artistic Director of the BarnStorm Theater Company. After school I set sail, joining the crew of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines- performing for audiences all around the globe!
After two years at sea, I landed back on dry land in the Bay Area, joining Look Talent Agency. The Bay Area kept me busy where I did a number of short films, industrials, commercials, and theater productions working with New Conservatory Theatre Center, African American Shakespeare Company, SF Sketch Fest, along with shows at the Castro Theatre, and Club Oasis, all while working as a teaching artist working with youth to help inspire their passions and shape their artistic instruments. In San Francisco I also worked as a choreographer for local pop artists, Bay Area Flash Mob, Drag Queens, and eventually started my own dance company Icon Dance Collective.
I now find myself here in New York ready to take my dreams to the next level. Since I landed here two years ago, I’ve done commercials, I'm a co-host/correspondent for Marvel.com's 'THWIP The Big Marvel Show', along with Marvel's Premiere Red Carpet Specials; I do voiceover work for tech company TaskRabbit’s online training tools, have done five theatrical productions, a short film, a web series, and currently finessing my improv skills at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Over the past three years I've also had the pleasure of producing, and co-hosting hit podcast ‘Minority Korner’, which gives a weekly introspective on pop culture, history, news, and social commentary. I’m ready to take my career to the next level, to land my first role in Television & Film, and make my Broadway (on and off) debut!
I'm looking forward to experiencing where the yellow brick road of my EGGGOT (Emmy, Golden Globe, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) winning dreams will lead me next, on my destiny to make an impact, and H.E.A.L. this world through the art of story!
